Nerja is a delightful and unspoilet seaside town which lies som 35 miles east of Málaga. The area is on of outstanding beauty situated in the midst of a luxurious tropical valley where avocado trees, chirimoya and drawberries grow in abundance. Agreat variety of exotic plants and flowers flourish in what is considered to be the best all year round climate in Europe.

The area is protected by two spectacular mountain ranges, the Sierra Almijara and the majestetic snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada. A superb drive along winding mountain roads through the famed city of Granada takes you to the breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada with is the popular ski resort. Locally, visit the Caves of Nerja, about 4 km away. Discovered in 1959, the caverns are the venue for an international-acclaimed music festival in July.

>On the Burriana Beach there are several Beach Restaurants, bars, shops and sporting facilities. The place to promenade or sit over a cool drink in one of ist pavement cafès is the Balcòn de Europa. Stretching out into the shimmering Mediterranean, this splendid area paved with marble and lined with palm trees is one of the centres of activity for many of the local festivals, or is used to just meet friends and gossip whilst the rest of the world strolls by.

The white mountain village of Frigiliana is located in Andalusia, in the province of Malaga in Spain. The village is about 65 km east of Malaga and about 5 kilometers from Nerja and had 2005 approx 2580 residents. Frigiliana was repeatedly awarded the ''most beautiful village of Andalusia''.

Puerto Blanquillo is a small settlement of houses and is situated on the outskirts of the village of Frigiliana. The location of Puerto Blanquillo offers a magnificent view of the sea, the mountains and the village. Frigiliana is famous for it´s own strong, sweet local wine which is similar to sherry.

Der bekannteste und wohl auch schönste Strand Nerjas ist der Burriana Strand. Er wird jedes Jahr mit der Auszeichnung "die blaue Flagge" prämiert. Der Burriana Strand besteht aus grobem, dunklerem Sand und hat eine Länge von etwa 700 Metern und eine Breite von 35 Metern. Hier findet man viele Parkplätze, einen Busservice, Apartments, eine schöne und große Strandpromenade, das Rote Kreuz, ein Wachpersonal, Badewarnsignale bei stürmischen Meer, Duschen und Umkleidekabinen, öffentliche Telefone, Liegen und Sonnenschirme (kosten Mietgebühr). Außerdem gibt es viele Restaurants und Bars, einen Supermarkt, Souvenirläden, einen Verleih von Wassersportgeräten und vieles, vieles mehr.

Der Balcón de Europa ist eine Aussichts-plattform zum Mittelmeer und im Stadtzentrum gelegen. Er schliesst sich einer schönen breiten Promenade an, die sich dann in den schmalen Altstadtgassen Nerjas verliert. Der Balcón de Europa bietet eine ideale Gelegenheit ein erfrischendes Getränk oder enen Cafe zu sich zu nehmen und einfach die vorbeispazierenden Leute zu beobachten "people watching".

Das weiße Bergdorf Frigiliana liegt in Andalusien, in der Provinz Málaga in Spanien. Das Dorf ist ca. 65 km östlich von Málaga und ca. 5 Kilometer von Nerja entfernt und hatte 2005 ca. 2.580 Einwohner. Frigiliana erhielt wiederholt die Auszeichnung ''Schönstes Dorf von Andalusien''. Puerto Blanquillo ist eine kleine Häusersiedlung und liegt am Rande des Dorfes Frigiliana. Die Lage von Puerto Blanquillo bietet einen herrlichen Ausblick auf das Meer, die Berge und das Dorf. Das kleine Dorf ist bekannt für seinen starken aber dennoch sehr süßen Wein, welcher dem Sherry sehr ähnelt.
